Get to Know Them
& How They Work

  • Common reasons my clients reach out may include:

    • Exploring gender or sexual identity — working through identity, coming out, self-acceptance or a sense of belonging.

    • Navigating minority stress — dealing with discrimination, social pressures or changes that are affecting your mood, confidence or sense of safety.

    • Anxiety, low mood or emotional overwhelm — experiencing worry, self-criticism, anger or difficult emotions that are affecting daily life or relationships.

    • Navigating queer or non-traditional relationships — looking for support with communication, conflict, intimacy, agreements or relationship goals.

    • Supporting a child or teen — helping with identity, self-esteem, emotional regulation, relationships or family communication.

  • At your first session we will begin with getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. We will review confidentiality and what you can expect from the process, then ask about your background, concerns, interests and priorities. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

Together, you will identify initial goals and discuss possible next steps so you may leave with a clearer sense of the direction for your work.
